Women's Broomball brings home Queen's Cup championship
Congratulations to the Sandy Lake Archers who claimed the championship title at the Queen's Cup Women's Broomball Tournament this past weekend in Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug.
Competing in a pool of seven other teams from northern remote First Nation communities, the Archers made it to the finals winning all six of their regular games. With a solid defense and strong goalie the Sandy Lake Archers played their way to victory completely shutting out their competitors with no goals scored against them.
The Archers beat the Kasabonika Blazing Queens for the championship cup with a final score of 2-0. WAY TO GO LADIES!
